APW President Systems Limited began in 1981 as President Systems, a small-scale partnership firm. In the first 3 years, the company introduced Card Frames (sub-racks), 19" Floor Standing Cabinets, Table Racks, Instrument Cases, and a whole host of accessories for each of these product groups. These were all made to the 19" standard and conformed to the DIN 41494 specification. Owing to the high quality levels achieved, design style, precision and workmanship, the "President" range of products quickly became popular and the company grew rapidly.
The original partnership company was converted into a private limited company in the mid 80’s. A decade later, following sustained growth, a joint venture was formed with Vero Electronics of UK, a leading name in the 19” industry. This resulted in the formation of a new company - Vero President Systems Ltd. that became a public limited company in 1996. Two years later Vero Electronics was bought over by APW (Applied Power Inc.) of the US consequent to which the name Vero President Systems Ltd. changed to APW President Systems Ltd.

Collaborations
From the time, the joint venture was established in 1995, the Indian company has enjoyed a close partnership - first with VERO Electronics UK, and then with its successor, APW Inc of the US.
APW President Systems has thus become part of the worldwide group of companies that form the APW family. This new partnership connects international distribution networks and consolidates common resources to further improve product engineering and customer services. APW Enclosure Systems is further integrated with the Technical Equipment and Enclosures (TEMS) Division of APW, which have a chain of manufacturing and distribution facilities in more than seventy countries.
This collaboration with a worldwide leader in the enclosures industry enables APW President Systems to have access to not only the latest product designs but also state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and other group resources.
Facilities
APW President Systems Ltd has its Head Office at Mumbai. The Company has its own sales offices located at Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune. A network of distributors, agents and other representatives comprise the APW network that covers all the important business locations in the country.
APW President's two manufacturing plants are located at Pune and Bangalore.
Pune Plant - Unit No. 2, Plot S-73, MIDC, and Bhosari.The plant includes modern manufacturing facilities as well as assembly cells. Human Resources at Pune comprise over 65 experienced staff - the bulk of whom have been with APW President for more than 16 years.
The Bangalore plant at Plot 5C/1, KIADB Industrial Area, Attibele, is furnished with the latest state-of-the-art machinery for sheet metal manufacturing.
It is a fully integrated manufacturing plant inclusive of a hot phosphate pre-treatment line, wet-paint and powder-coating paint shops, chemical evaluation laboratory, digitally controlled machinery, and huge storage, assembly and shipping areas. Besides the high- tech production facilities, the Bangalore plant houses a complete effluent treatment plant for environmental protection, along with air filtration for the paint shop and water treatment facilities.
The Bangalore plant employs over 120 Technicians, Skilled Operators and Administrative Staff.
Network
APW President’s products are widely distributed and are conveniently available through a strong distribution network. In addition to distribution centres, APSL has its own Sales & Marketing Offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. All offices are staffed with technically trained and experienced sales personnel.
