About Elecrama 2008ELECRAMA 2008 – One of the world’s largest Trade Fair in the electrical and industrial electronics sector is scheduled in Mumbai from January 18, 2008 to January 22, 2008. The Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association or IEEMA, an ISO certified apex association of Indian Industry started organizing the ELECRAMA exhibitions in 1990. The exhibition is approved by the India Trade Promotion Organization related to the Ministry of Commerce, and supported by the Ministry of Power.ELECRAMA is the platform where the Electrical and Electronics Industry, Trade and users converge. The maiden ELECRAMA-90 emerged as the largest exhibition of its kind in Asia and the Middle East. ELECRAMA-90 was a switched – on event that broke all records. Successive ELECRAMAs had the challenge of breaking their own records. ELECRAMA Exhibitions are organized by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association – the apex association representing the electrical and industrial electronics industry in India. More than 95% of installed equipments in Power Generation Transmission and Distribution are manufactured indigenously by IEEMA Members, with over 450 member companies. IEEMA is the first association in India to be certified ISO certification. This year 25 countries are scheduled to participate with China, Germany, Italy, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan as a group on a global platform for Indian and foreign companies to transact worldwide business. Recognised worldwide, the bandwagon of Hanover Germany, INTEL from Italy, and MATELEC from Spain with the prestigious approval of the Union des Foires Internationals or UFI, the global association of the Exhibition Industry is participating in the show. This 8th in series exhibition has over 1000 participating companies spread over 50,000 square meters showcasing products and services at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon. The fair focuses on welcoming the international community of buyers and investors, and those interested with the belief that the future of power is here. |
