After the success of the last International Machine Tools Expo (IMEX'07), an exclusive event on Machine Tools (both pre-owned and new) and allied products concluded at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai here on December 9, 2007.
The third edition of the IMEX'07 was organised by Conventions & Fairs (India) Pvt. Ltd. The show was supported by All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and was approved by the Indian Trade promotion organisation (ITPO).
The unique feature of the show this time was that the Industrial Automation was added to the portfolio of product categories.
The mega show this year provided an appropriate platform for the Manufacturers, Traders, Exporters and Importers to showcase their products and do business. Each edition of the fair, in the past, had turned out to be more successful than the preceding one as indicated by sizeable hike in participation.
The show served as an ideal meeting place to showcase the latest products such as machines, equipments and technologies - to the professionals and also an important networking platform for the industry.
The exhibitor's participation figures in 2006 witnessed a huge worldwide response attracting more than 150 companies from India and other fifteen countries in the 4-day event. The exhibitions drew over 12,000 trade and business visitors from across the country as well as from overseas.
Apart from major domestic players, international brands from countries like Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Kuwait, The Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA attended the IMEX'07.
The product categories which were displayed at the show included Machining centres, Special purpose machines, Lathes, Sheet working machines, Planning, slotting and broaching machines, Honing, polishing and deburring machines, Forging machines, Machines for unconventional operations, Plastic processing machines, Wood working machines, Measuring and testing systems, Computer applications and software, Electrical and electronic equipment for machine tools, etc.
