India Design Festival 2008 |
With the objective of celebrating the growth of the Indian Design industry and also to identify further opportunities for growth of the design industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with NID and Pune Design Foundation is pleased to announce the first India Design Festival 2008 (IDF 08) and 8th CII – NID Design Summit from 1st – 5th December, 2008 at YASHADA, Pune, Maharashtra, India.
The central theme of the India Design Festival 2008 is “Design Next - Inspiring Transformation”. It would be the first of its kind with designers participating from all across the country and overseas also. The major attraction of the Design Festival is the 8th CII – NID Design Summit, which is held every year in different parts of the country.
India Design Festival (IDF) aims to address the following areas:
- How design can inspire transformation for businesses in India and for bottom of the pyramid
- To showcase successful design stories from India and overseas
- To discuss new challenges and opportunities for the growth of design industry
