The third edition of Tube India International show, jointly organised by Düsseldorf GmbH and Düsseldorf India, took-off on Wednesday here in New Delhi among usual fanfare.
The show, which will continue till February, 15, 2008, received huge response from businessmen and business institutions alike, both from India and abroad.
Pragati Maidan, which was the venue of the show, also witnessed other exhibition like Metallurgy India and Schweissen & Schneiden 2008 taking place, attracting people from diverse background. The convergence of metallurgical product and services and the cutting & joining metal industry, received appropriate response in terms of foreign participation.
There were visitors from as much as 20 countries, including Czech Republic, Italy, P.R. China, The Netherlands, Ireland, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA to name a few.
A variety of equipments in the field of metallurgical engineering like cleaning & cutting metal units, Welding Consumables, Stainless Steel Electrodes, Welding Torches, Metal alloys, Welding Machines, Portable CNC Cutting Machine, Welding Wire & Rods, Earth/Ground Clamps, Electrode Holders, Submerged Arc Welding Systems, Pipes & Tubes, Testing Equipments were displayed at t the show.
The show received a good response, largely because of booming metal industry. It highlighted the active participation of Indian metal companies in the international arena.
Jayesh Bhayani of Total Tools & Equipments, a company promoting metal and rod cutting saws said that their target at the show was to meet diverse demands of both medium and high quality products. Bhayani added, ‘‘Even though we also indigenously manufacture saws in India, we are taking this opportunity to showcase our diversification through our import products. We are capable of meeting both the low and high-end user’’.
Tranz International’s sales head, D.K. Dhody, said that their high-precision Taiwan-made Fully Automatic Hydraulic Tube Cutting Machine was getting huge response in the show. He also said that various auto industries in the field of OEM are their targeted clients.
Talking about participation in the show he said, ‘‘we have been regularly participating in this show. We are basically using this platform to diversify in India.’’
